High Protein Buffalo Macaroni Recipe for Muscle Building


High protein macaroni and cheese








That’s right - mac and cheese that will help you build muscle..are we in heaven?

Give this high-protein macaroni recipe a try and your meal-prepping days will never be boring again!












 



INGREDIENTS

  • 1 box ‘Barilla Protein Pasta’ elbow noodles

  • 8 oz low fat milk of choice

  • 1/4 c. buffalo sauce (i like ‘Franks RedHot’ for pasta sauce)

  • 1/4 c. Plain Greek Yogurt

  • 4 oz. light cream cheese

  • Low fat cheddar cheese - to taste

  • 1 tsp each: black pepper, onion, garlic powder, paprika,

  • Pinch of parsley (optional)


DIRECTIONS

  1. Boil water and cook pasta according to pasta directions.

  2. While cooking pasta, heat skillet to medium high heat. Add milk, buffalo sauce, cream cheese, and shredded cheese. Whisk until combined.

  3. Add to pasta and mix until combined. Add extra milk if needed until desired consistency.

  4. Season with black pepper, onion & garlic powder, and paprika to taste.

  5. Top with dried parsley (optional) *Level this dish up with even higher protein content by adding tuna or shredded chicken - so simple and quick for a weekday meal.
